in a nutshell:

I feed everyone and give treats as allowed; Make sure water is freshened; Scoop the box (or robot!)

Give medications as needed, whether they're pills, liquids, topicals, or insulin injections

Bring in mail & packages, and put out the bins

Most important: I give your cat all the lovinz and playtime they could want!

what I do:

For your feline(s) during a typical 1/2 hour visit I:
  • feed everyone as directed
    • make sure any auto-feeders are prepped
  • freshen water
    • bowls, burblers, pint glasses, etc. 😺
  • scoop the box(es)
    • dispose of deposits made, as directed
    • empty a robot box as needed
    • refill box(es) as needed or directed
  • administer medications as needed and directed
    • pills, liquids, topicals, subQ injections
  • clean up any hairballs or other kitty yuck
    • using your cleaning supplies, as directed
  • give them treats
    • as allowed and directed
  • sometimes bring outside toys (catnip, anyone?)😺
    • as allowed; they're gifts from me
  • give them lovinz and skritches
    • as they like, and to tolerance
  • give them plenty of playtime
    • as they like, and with a cool-down period
  • monitor their behavior
    • taking notes and passing along info to you
  • take super cute photos, and share them with you 😺
  • can also, as agreed upon,
    • bring in mail or packages
    • put out or bring in trash bins
    • water plants, as directed
    • do other things, as agreed upon

Since Fall of 2021 I've been a full-time cat sitter, so caring for your feline furry companions is my life and blood! I'm no fly-by-night operation, and I love what I do! I'm available weekdays, week-evenings, and weekends.
My fees are fair, at $40 for a single cat, and $45 for two or more cats, for a 1/2 hour visit. Unlike other cat sitters and/or online pet care booking services, I don't charge extra booking fees or add fees for holidays (when booked reasonably in advance) 😺
I live centrally in Oakland, with easy access to the surrounding neighborhoods, highways, and side streets (plus secret shortcuts). Piedmont and Emeryville, I have you covered! 😺
I am highly responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented. I am COVID vaccinated. I provide photo updates and detailed notes for each visit, so you can relax and refuel.
I can be as quiet or as playful as my feline clients like. I enjoy being able to tune in to a cat's frequency —- some are coquettish, some are reserved, some are social butterflies, some are goofballs, some like belly rubs, some prefer a feather toy, and so forth… Trust me that I'll give your pet the best lovinz for them. And, oh yeah, treats! 😻
Also, and without apology or embarrassment, you'll see a lot of cat-face emojis in my communication with you (typically via text). ? ...I hope the emojis don't impact your view of me as a professional — I'm on point, but I like to have fun!

I want to note that my clients' privacy is very important to me. In addition to your feline companion(s), you're entrusting me with your keys, alarm codes, your home and belongings, and your trust. I appreciate and value this immensely.
You won't find pictures of your cat(s), or your home, or belongings, on social media or the wider internets — I don't have any social media presence, anywhere. That said, you are welcome to post photos, which I send you as part of my visits, to your own accounts. Feel free to credit your cat sitter. ;-)

In March of 2013 I opened, owned, and ran a picture framing & gallery space (Panorama, on Grand Avenue, which did survive the pandemic shutdown, though I had left the company in December of 2019); Previously I was a commercial photographer; and was a bookseller for a short bit during the shutdown.
I'm an armchair linguist (graduate studies in Linguistics at SFSU), just picked up a banjo (my first time with a stringed instrument), and I also pursue writing in the creative realm. Viva Haiku! 😺
